Pasta Al Forno - Baked Pasta

Pasta al forno translates to "pasta in oven" in Italian. Extra creamy when made with great cheese.

Meat Sauce

  • 400 g Mince
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 400 g Crushed Tomatoes
  • 100 ml Water
  • 1 Meat Stock Cube
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 400 ml Four Cheese Sauce
  • 280 g Grated Mozzarella
  • 300 g Penne


Step 1

Heat the oven to 225 °.

Step 2

Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the packet - once cooked let it drain in a colander.

Step 3

Peel and chop the onion and garlic finely, and put butter in a frying pan. Add the mince and fry while stirring. Stir in tomatoes, water and stock. Season with salt, pepper and thyme.

Step 4

Mix in the pasta, minced meat sauce and cheese in a greased oven dish. Place in the middle of the oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
