Cheese Muffins

  • 100 g Grated Mexican Cheese
  • 125 g Sifting Flour
  • 250 g Wheat Flour
  • 25 g Yeast
  • 250 ml Warm Water
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Coarse Salt
  • Whipped Egg


Step 1

Mix cheese and the two kinds of flour in a bowl (keep a little wheat flour). Stir the yeast into water. Add the butter, sugar, salt and flour to the mixture. Mix the dough well together.

Cover the bowl leave it to rise in a warm place for approximately 1 hour.

Take the dough out and put it on to a floured surface and knead well. Add the rest of the wheat flour.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces and shape them into buns. Roll the buns flat (about 10 cm in diameter). Place the buns on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Leave them to rise for approximately 15 minutes. Brush with the eggs and put them in the middle of the oven to cook.
