Beef Burger

A popular classic, pan-fried burgers with butter-fried onions. The secret is to fry the onions for a long time, on a medium heat, so they become caramelised and sweet. Serve with potatoes and colourful vegetables, to brighten up the burgers.

Ingredients

Burger

  • 500 g Mince Meat
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • 100 ml Cooking Cream
  • 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Onions
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Pinch Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed Oil

Butter Fried Onion

  • 2 Onions
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed Oil
  • Salt & Black Pepper

Method

Step 1

Mix the breadcrumbs and the cream into a bowl. Let rest for about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Add in the mince, onions, eggs, salt and pepper. Mix together. Shape the mix into patties. Fry them in butter & rapeseed oil in a frying pan on medium heat for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Peel and slice the onions. Fry in butter & rapeseed oil until the onion is golden brown and soft. Season with salt and pepper.
