Vegetarian Falafel

An fantastic vegetarian dish for all ages. Serve with bulgur wheat, chillies and a dollop of yogurt.

  • 20 servings


  • 1 Can of Chickpeas (about 400 g)
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 1 Pressed Garlic Clove
  • 1 tsp Finely Ground Cumin
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 10 g Chopped Leaf Parsley
  • ½ tsp Harissa
  • 2 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 3 tbsp Butter


Step 1

Rinse the chickpeas and let them drain. Peel and chop the onion. Mix chickpeas, onions, garlic, cumin, salt, parsley, harissa, corn starch and 1 tablespoon of butter.

Step 2

Shape the batter into small, oval, flat balls. Fry them on medium heat in butter in a frying pan for about 2 minutes on each side.
