Red Wine Sauce

Our classic red wine sauce is unbeatable with fried or roast meat. This delicious sauce has the taste of shallots, tomato puree and beef stock - a very tasty addition to a meal!

  • 4 servings


  • 2 Shallots
  • 250 ml Red Wine
  • 200 ml Water
  • 4 tbsp Beef Stock
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Purée
  • 1 Pinch White Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • 100 g Butter


Step 1

Peel and finely chop the shallots. Cook together with wine, water, beef stock, tomato puree and pepper for about 5 minutes.

Step 2

Mix the cornflour with a little water and add to the liquid. Bring to the boil and then simmer for 2 minutes Chop up the butter and add into the mixture, stirring until melted.

Step 3

Pour over the meat - delicious!"
