Italian Chicken Soup

An easy chicken soup with lentils and root vegetables.

  • 4 servings


  • 2 Yellow Onions
  • 2 Carrots
  • 100 g Celeriac
  • 2 Chicken Breast Fillets
  • 50 g Smoked Pork
  • 5 g Butter
  • 800 g Chicken Broth
  • 200 ml Cooking Cream
  • 150 g Red Lentils
  • 2 tsp Dried Basil
  • tsp Black Pepper
  • 10 g Chopped Fresh Parsley
  • tsp Salt


Step 1

Peel onions, carrots and celery. Cut everything into small pieces. Chop the chicken and smoked pork.

Step 2

Fry the chicken and pork in butter in a pan for about 3 minutes. Stir in the vegetables and heat for another 3 minutes.

Step 3

Pour in the broth, cream and lentils. Bring to boil for 10 minutes until the lentils are soft. Season with basil and pepper.

Step 4

Season with salt and sprinkle with parsley to serve.
