Honey Fried Ribs with Roasted Brussels Sprouts

These ribs get their juiciness from being slow-roasted in the oven. Add the brussels sprouts to the dish and roast with the meat towards the end of the cooking time.

  • 6 servings

  • 1½ kg Ribs

  • 50 g Butter
  • 3 tbsp Orange Juice
  • 1½ tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oeleks Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Liquid Honey
  • 1 tsp Flake Salt
  • 500 g Brussel Sprouts
  • 80 g Grated Cheddar

Step 1

Heat the oven to 125°.

Step 2

Melt the butter, mix it with the other ingredients in a marinade and cover the meat.

Step 3

Place the meat with the bone side up in an ovenproof dish and roast in the middle of the oven for about 2 hours.

Step 4

Turn the meat around, moisten it with the marinade and cook for another 2 hours.

Step 5

Rinse and cut the brussels sprouts into halves. Take the meat out of the oven and cut it into pieces.

Step 6

Turn the oven temperature up to 225°. Put the meat back in and cover the ribs with the marinade once more.

Step 7

Place the brussels sprouts into the dish and cook for another 15 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top before serving.
