Homemade Tortillas

Homemde tortillas are tastiest when freshly baked. Tortillas can be eaten as tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas or with your favourite filling.

  • 240 g Wheat Flour
  • 100 g Cornflour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 25 g Butter
  • 300 ml Lukewarm Water


Step 1

Mix the flour, salt and baking powder. Finely rub the butter into the mixture, stir in the water and work together to form a dough.

Step 2

Divide into 8 or 16 pieces and roll out on a floured surface to form thin circles. Fry them in a dry frying pan on a high heat for ½ minute on each side. Wrap them in a towel.

Step 3

Serve with beef chili, coriander, guacamole and yogurt.
