Frozen vanilla yogurt

This basic recipe for frozen yogurt is for an ice cream machine but can also be done by hand with a freezer mould. Enjoy the frozen yogurt with berries, chopped fruits or nuts.

  • 250 ml Semi-Skimmed Milk
  • 250 g Vanilla Yogurt
  • ½ Vanilla Pod
  • 60 g Caster Sugar
  • 2 Egg Yolks


Step 1

Heat the milk with half the vanilla pod, and allow to cool.

Step 2

Beat egg yolks and sugar together. Add in the milk and heat up while whipping to 82 °, allow the mixture to cool to 40 ° and then stir in the yogurt.

Step 3

Strain the vanilla pod and let it cool completely. Pour the liquid into the ice cream machine and follow your machine's instructions.
