Fresh Tomato Sauce

A fresh and smooth sauce filled with flavour. Choose plum tomatoes for a richer flavour.

  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 750 g Sundried Tomatoes
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 100 ml Water
  • 1 Vegetable Stock Cube
  • 1 Pinch Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 Handful Fresh Basil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 100 ml Whipping Cream
  • 400 g Fresh Tagliatelle
  • 200 g Grated Cheese


Step 1

Cut the tomatoes into pieces. Peel and chop onions and garlic.

Step 2

Fry the onions in butter in a saucepan. Add in tomatoes, water, stock cube, pepper and honey. Let the sauce cook, without a lid for about 10 minutes.

Step 3

Chop the basil and stir into the sauce. Season with salt. Mix the cream in.

Step 4

Cook the pasta as instructed on the packet. Serve the sauce on top of the pasta and top with grated cheese.
