Chicken Kebab

Delicious kebab, inspired by Turkish cuisine.

Garlic Dressing

  • 300 ml Creme Fraiche
  • 3 Small Crushed Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Pinch Coarse Salt
  • 1 Pinch Freshly Ground Pepper

Chicken With Flavourings

  • 4 Chicken Fillets
  • 1 tsp Whole Cumin
  • 10 g Butter
  • 1 Pinch Coarse Salt
  • 1 Pinch Freshly Ground Pepper

Wrap And Additional Fillings

  • 6 Wheat Tortillas
  • 300 g Finely Chopped Red Cabbages
  • 150 g Slices Of Pickled Cucumbers
  • 1 Red Onion In Half Slices


Step 1

Mix the crème fraîche with garlic, salt and pepper. Cover the dressing in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2

Crush the whole cumin, possibly using a mortar and pestle.

Step 3

Cut any tendons from the chicken fillets. Let the butter become golden in a pan and brown the chicken fillets for approximately ½ minutes on all sides.

Step 4

Sprinkle with the cumin and let simmer on a low heat or about 10 minutes - turning the meat occasionally.

Step 5

Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper. Remove the chicken fillets and let them rest covered for approximately 10 minutes. Tear the meat into smaller pieces using 2 forks.

Step 6

Heat the soft tortillas according to the instructions on the packaging. Mix red cabbage, cucumber and onion in a bowl.

Step 7

Spread red cabbage mixture, salad, chicken and garlic dressing in the 6 warm tortillas. Roll them tightly together, possibly in a piece of baking paper. Serve immediately."
